SaaS - SalesForce and Google
The Software as a Service - SaaS - landscape has begun to heat up in the past few months. One of the most interesting relationships is SalesForce and Google. SalesForce has been a leader in the “death of software” SaaS charge. Oddly enough, getting into bed with Google seems to be a mismatch. Both have immense compute resources for deploying huge swaths of enterprise grade applications. SalesForce has a platform - Google has a BETA of a Python based system. The interaction between the two is beginning to create new opportunities.
Salesforce and Google are saying that you can stop juggling bloated desktop software tools and spend more time focusing on customers, closing deals, and growing your business via the SaaS model. Office productivity is a key aspect of the value proposition and a success kit gets you up to speed on this entirely new and better way to work.
